By the above menus we see how unbalanced foods, such as the coconut, which is extremely high in fat and very low in sugar, making it difficult of digestion, can be balanced by mixing it with other foods that are low in fat and high in calories, such as sweet fruits, honey or sugar. By adding fat-free high calorie foods we automatically decrease the percentage of fat. Sugar or honey is indispensable in combination with fatty foods to supply material for oxidation of the fatty acids. Peanuts were added to this menu to increase the protein percentage, since coconut has low protein content in comparison to the fat content. The carrot was included to supply vitamins and organic mineral salts. The orange and lemon juice was added to add flavour and digestibility to the above combination.
The above menus contain highly nourishing foods. They should be used only when hunger is present. When hunger is absent and when one is just breaking a fast, or coming out of an acute disease, it will be necessary to eat fresh juicy fruits and vegetable salads until normal hunger returns. Then you can eat again these up-building foods. This menu is very rich in iron.
