After reading in the previous issues of Edenia what we wrote about the wonderful effects of "The New Way To Fast", many of those who had ordered this book were anxiously awaiting its arrival to put the new method of fasting in practice. In many cases they requested that the book be sent by air mail. In other cases they wanted the author to tell them by letter how to prepare the extracts. So anxious they were to derive the benefits from the "The New Way To Fast" I believe that several hundreds of readers of this book began to fast under the new method as soon as the book arrived.

Imagine the large amount of money saved and the great benefit derived by these fasters within a period of 15 to 30 days! Imagine also the tremendous saving in food, fuel and labour, and the great improvement in health and vital resistance if all the people of the United States at least submitted to two or four weeks of fasting! Supposing that each person spent daily for food only $1.00 ($30.00 per month) this multiplied by about 160 million people living in the United States would save the enormous amount of $4.800.000.000. When to this saving we add the great additional saving in doctors and hospital bills plus the additional money earned by preventing disease, the saving would go up into astronomical figures. Periodic fasting is one of the greatest blessings for those who put it in practice. For as we have seen, fasting will enable one to save a great deal of money while fasting takes place, while at the same time it cures and prevents disease and suffering, preserves the appearance and vigour of youth for a much longer time and prolongs the span of life.
