Identification:

Large grayish or brownish pigeon with yellow bill and legs; purplish gray head; iridescent greenish patch with white bar at back of neck; to 35 cm (14 in). (Paloma Collareja).

Habitat:

High elevation forested areas, Caribbean and Pacific slopes; found high in trees in forests, forest edge areas, and tree plantations.

Irazú Volcano National Park.
La Amistad National Park.
