Identification:

The GoldenToad is also called OrangeToad, Monteverde Toad, Alajuela Toad. A small. colorful toad; males (on top in illustration) yellow or orange, females black with red spots ringed with yellow; to 6 cm (2.5 in). (Sapo Dorado de Monteverde, Sapito Dorado)

Habitat:

Middle elevation wet forests; found on the ground or in small pools.

Found in the following Parks:

Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve (Fotos).
Note: This species is endangered or already extinct.
