Identification:
An opossum with gray back and lighter colored throat, chest, and belly; black face mask; black on top of head; a white mark above each eye;to 33cm (13in), plus hairless tail. (Philander opossum, Zorro de Cuatro Ojos).
Habitat:
Low and middle elevation forests and agricultural areas, countrywide; prefers dense vegetation near water; nocturnal; found in trees but also on the ground.
