Identification:

Small brown bird with black-barred wings and tail; lighter brown chest / belly; pale stripe above eye; 11 cm (4.5 in). (Soterrey Cucarachero).

Habitat:

Low, middle, and high elevations, Caribbean and Pacific slopes; found mostly around houses and other structures, and open habitats such as pastures and low scrub.
