Identification:

Mid-sized black bird with grayish bill; male with dark purple throat; to 28 cm (11 in). (Quérula Gorgimorada).

Habitat:

Low elevation wet forests, Caribbean slope; found in tree canopy often in more open, wooded areas - forest edges, tree plantations, etc.

Found in the following Parks:

Braulio Carrillo National Park.
Cahuita National Park.
Caño Negro National Wildlife Refuge.
La Selva Biological Reserve.
Tortuguero National Park.
