Identification:

Short-haired squirrel wilh reddish brown back and sides (some are darker-colored), and with a rust-red tail, sometimes black-tipped; 20 to 28cm (8 to 11in), plus long, bushy tail. (Granadera, Ardilla Roja, Ardilla, Chisa).

Habitat:

Wet forests, Caribbean and Pacific slopes; found in trees and on the ground.
