Small brown bird with gray and black head
with small crest; reddish brown on neck; black streaks on back; white throat; whitish belly; to 14cm (5.5in). (Comemaiz, Chingolo).
Habitat:
Middle and high elevation open areas, Caribbean and Pacific slopes; found in pastures, agricultural fields, grasslands, and around human settlements.

Irazú Volcano National Park.
La Amistad National Park.
Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve (Fotos).
Poás Volcano National Park.
