Identification:
Very large, long-tailed red parrot with big patches of yellow on wings and blue on wings and tail; to 86cm (34in). (Guacamaya Roja, Lapa Roja).
Habitat:
Lowland forests of Pacific slope and some parts of northern Caribbean slope; usually found high in tree canopy in wooded and forest edge areas, and often near water. This species is endangered.
Found in the following Parks:
Carara National Park.
Corcovado National Park.
Palo Verde National Park.
Santa Rosa Nacional Park.
