Identification:

Male is small blackish bird with blue-turquoise head, back, and rump; red thighs; small, pointed bill; female is dull bluish green with grayish throat / chest, yellowish belly, blackish wings and tail, red thighs; 12cm (4.75in). (Mielero Celeste y Negro).

Habitat:

Middle elevations, Caribbean and southern Pacific slopes, found in tree canopy in semi-open sites such as forest edges, tree plantations, gardens.
