Identification:

Mid-sized purplish brown or ruddy brown pigeon with short, black bill; reddish legs; 27cm (11in). (Paloma Piquicorta, Dos Tontos Son).

Habitat:

Low and middle elevation wet forest, Caribbean and southern Pacific slopes; found in trees or on ground in more open areas such as forest edges and clearings.
