Identification:

TMid-sized, thick-set bird with dark gray head and chest, brownish back and wings; white throat; red legs; very small tail; slender bill; female with light brown / buffy wing bars; to 28cm (11in). (Tinamú Pizarroso)

Habitat:

Low elevation wet forests of northern Caribbean slope; flound on the ground.

Found in the following Parks:

Braulio Carrillo National Park.
Caño Negro National Wildlife Refuge.
La Selva Biological Reserve.
Tortuguero National Park.
