Identification:
Medium-sized, weasel-like mammal, resembling a large mink; black or brown body, tan, brown, or yellowish head and neck; most with large yellowish spot on chest / throat; to 52 to 70cm (20 to 28in), plus long, densely-furred tail. (Gato de Monte, Tolumuco).
Habitat:
Wet forests, drier areas, and agricultural areas, countrywide; day- and dusk active; found in trees or on the ground.
