Identification:

Mid-sized, thick-set bird, brownish with conspicuous dark bars; chest and belly cinnamon; red legs; very small tail; slender bill; to 28cm (11in). (Tinamú Canelo, Gongolona).

Habitat:

Low and middle elevation drier forests of northern Pacific slope; found on the ground.

Found in the following Parks:

Palo Verde National Park.
Rincón de La Vieja National Park.
Santa Rosa Nacional Park.
