Identification:

Large white wading bird with thin, downward curved, red bill and red legs; black wing tips noticeable in flight; immature bird is brownish; to 62 cm (2 ft); wing span to 97cm (38in). (Ibis Blanco).

Habitat:

Lowland aquatic habitats of Caribbean and Pacific slopes; found along shorelines, beaches, mangroves, streams, rivers, ponds, lakes, and marshes.

Found in the following Parks:

Corcovado National Park.
Palo Verde National Park.
Santa Rosa Nacional Park.
