Again a few numbers about www.1-costaricalink.com.   During our last hotel and tour-operator inspection, many of the very new clients asked us about our stats and where the traffic to our site really comes from. Instead of publishing plain numbers, you can click on some pictures taken from our stats programs the 31st of May 2005.

Last month 72,753 different phrases (search-strings) were used on different search-engines, 30,086 of them more than 8 times. See a few of them here. But only 25% of our hits come from search-engines. The rest are direct requests. Click here to see where we get the traffic. See our daily visits and hits, that bring us this traffic, and what countries the traffic is coming from. Click here to see which search engines indexed us daily in May. From the over 23,000 websites that link to us, 7,453 produced 8% of the total hits last month. Please remember that these numbers normally increase from month to month. By the way, the 31st of May our site had over 33,000 pages and over 46,000 pictures.

Serious Business

You might want to spend the rest of your life in Costa Rica, but not this way!
Important Reminder: Costa Rica is a beautiful country with bountiful blessings and generous, wonderful people. You are welcome here and can have a magnificent vacation. So, come and enjoy paradise with us.

But please remember this. It is a very high priority with the Costa Rican government…The trafficking of human beings for sexual purposes, as well as any attempts to engage in sexual activities with minors are dealt with swiftly and harshly. Do not bring this excess baggage with you. This is the wrong country to try and engage in these two illegal activities. If you do, you will, most likely, be spending the rest of your life here...in prison. There is much in Costa Rica to delight you and for you to enjoy. These two crimes are not among those things. It is your responsibility to avoid these situations. No excuses are accepted. Take this very seriously. Our government does.

The Cahuita National Park is very special in this Country   because it is not managed by the Government anymore. It is run by the community of Cahuita and is a real success-story. You will not have to pay a fixed price entrance fee but a voluntary donation according to your abilities. These moneys don't disappear anymore in the governmental system but are used for lots of improvements. Here you'll find camp-grounds, toilets, and lots of hiking trails along the lengthy beach, and most of all, friendly attentive personal.
