Diriá Forest National Wildlife Refuge

This Wildlife Refuge protects the dry forests that make up the basins of the rivers Diriá, Enmedio and Verde. The vegataion is a mixture of secondary forests, gallery forests, remnants of primary forests and shrubs. It also protects the population of white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus), Howler Monkeys (Alouatta palliatta), Northern Tamandua (Tamandua Mexicana) and Collared Peccary (Tayassu tajacu).
