Central Pacific Conservation Area, Alajuela

It protects forest remnants covering the basins of the rivers Jabonal, Ciruelas and Seco. The gumbolimbo (Bursera simarouba), May flower (Tabebuia rosea) and barrigon (Pseudobombax septenatum) are a few of the tree species found there. A few dirt roads starting at Miramar allow visitors to go a little way into this protection zone.
