Interesting Sites
A good highway links this town to San José. A short distance southwest, a huge rock, nearly 30 meters long, appears to be precariously suspended in place so that it could come crashing into the town at any moment. At the foot of the rock is a cave, the source of some local superstition. Folklore has it that the witch, ña Zárate, who would frequently walk the slopes of the mountain guarding the treasures she had hidden there. The scenic location and splendid panoranic view make this a favorite tourist attraction.
