The Program of the Arenal, Celeste River, Tenorio Volcano Tour

Start in La Fortuna at 7:00 a.m.

You'll be able to enjoy a typical breakfast on the way to the park and Rio Celeste. Once at the Tenorio Volcano National Park, a 5 miles hike of approximately 4 hours through the tropical rain forest starts.

At "Los Teñideros" of the Rio Celeste, two streams of crystalline water come together and the combined waters react to become sky-blue. The trails lead to the "OLLAS" -- openings, where you can excavate healing mud's, take a mud bath, and a dip in the natural hot springs all while observing the attractions of Tenorio Volcano.

Further hiking through the jungle you'll get to the volcano's furnace vents that expel gases of extreme high temperatures. Finally you descend to the spectacular Rio Celeste waterfall whose color makes it one of a kind. Lunch on the way home.
