The Program of the Congo Trail Canopy and Río Tempisque River Safari Tour

Fly through the woods

This tour starts in Liberia, the capital of Guanacaste at the Hotel Guanacaste. From there on the way to Playas del Coco, a short distance before you reach this village you turn left into the woods. A very scenic drive will take you to this canopy tour in the middle of nowhere. Besides the ride through the woods on a zip cable there is a butterfly garden, a snake terrarium and some birds and a monkey in a large cage.

An economic Nature Safari you should not miss

Your tour continous back to the city of Filadelfia and from there towards the port of Ballena. There you'll board a small covered boat an a channel will take you to the Tempisque river. You'll be traveling in the river along the Palo Verde National Park. Along the way you'll see lots of wildlife. A couple of stops are planned to specially see White-faced Capuchin monkeys and American Crocodiles.

After your return to the port, you'll be driving to a small village where you'll have a delicious typical lunch. This same tour you'll find in combination with a visit to the indigenous Chorotega Pottery town of Guiatil or without combination as Palo Verde Río Tempisque Tour.
