Nature and Adrenalin in and near the Sarapiquí River !
Give yourself the treat of a real nature adventure with the Sarapiqui Canopy Tour, spiced with some adrenaline during cable rides through the canopy of the Costa Rican Rainforest. An air conditioned bus will pick you up at the hotel and in one an a half hour riding through the Braulio Carrillo National Park you will arrive at Puerto Viejo de Sarapiqui. In Puerto Viejo you will board a boat and take a 2 hour ride through the rain forests. Make sure you bring enough film and batteries for your camera because most likely you will see crocodiles, Caymans, birds, iguanas and monkeys.
I took far over 100 pictures on this trip. Look at 96 more pictures clicking on the picture link. You will ride a short distance on a horse back to the first platform of the Sarapiqui Canopy Tour. After short safety instructions you will start a 2 hour ride between 15 platforms mounted on different trees. This tour excursion doesn't need previous experience and is easy. You will need to climb some ladders but are secured by a rope. After the canopy you may visit the frog terrarium and a typical Costa Rican lunch is served. Transportation home starts again with the boat ride and the bus will drop you off at your hotel.
