White Sandy Beaches, Caves, BBQ, Snorkeling, and Mangroves
This tour starts right at the beach of Playas del Coco. When they explained the tour to us we went in a small boat, see pictures, but you will go in a double-decker boat for added security and comfort. The boat-ride will take you past several islands including one called monkey-head (see picture No. 24). You'll reach a coral reef island where you'll be able to do some incredible beautiful snorkeling only 6 feet deep.
The boat will then take you to another lonely island. You'll leave the boat onto a white sand beach to explore several caves carved out of the rock by the waves. The crew will prepare a delicious BBQ lunch. After lunch you'll continue to a mangrove, where the bilingual natural guide will explain some facts about this eco-system and the flora and fauna there. Remember: This tour is only available Wednesdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and don't forget to bring your swimming gear.
