The Hotel El Velero offers 22 air-conditioned rooms. There back yard is the beach. You will fall asleep at night and wake up every morning to the sound of the waves and just walk a few steps from your room to the white sand beach. Hotel El Velero caters to vacationers and travellers who are seeking a tropical beachfront retreat with professional and personable staff.
Sailing tours are offered daily on the hotel's own 38 foot Beneteau sloop. Day tours are 5 hours with daily departures at approximately 10 a.m. leaving from the beach side of the hotel. As the sails unfold, you will sail with the captain and his mate to a deserted beach for an afternoon of snorkelling, beach-cave exploring, and sunning. See a variety of sea life and birds in their own habitat. Dolphins, sea turtles, flying fish and other incredible sites await. Romantic Sunset tours depart at approximately 3:00 p.m. and include an open bar returning around 6:30 p.m. to the hotel.
The garden terrace restaurant and bar features fantastic fresh seafood, International dishes and local specialties. The chef has been on staff for nearly a decade and is determined to create cuisine that will delight. When we are in the Playa Hermosa Area, the Hotel El Velero is always a must stop to eat, have a drink and go to the beach. The bar has a nightly sunset "happy hour" and a full selection of beverages.
