All hotel buildings have large windows and are nestled in a beautifully landscaped property, offering natural lighting, privacy, warmth, and views to the surrounding forest of the 35-acre property, allowing the outside to be a part of the very cozy interior.
Most of the rooms are wheelchair accessible. The Junior Suites are some of the best accommodations you can find in this area. (try to book the Suites on the second floor). This is an excellent place for birdwatchers, naturalist, and art lovers. During certain times of the year you might observe Resplendent Quetzals, Three-wattled Bellbirds and Keel-billed toucans.
All year round you can admire hundreds of beautiful paintings of Paul Smith, father of the owner. You can reach the world famous 10,500-hectare Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve in a 15-minute walk, and The Santa Elena Reserve is just a short drive. From this area on clear days you can observe the Arenal Volcano and the Golf of Nicoya all way to the Pacific Ocean.
