When I arrived late one night in Puerto Jiménez...
I first joined the action of a popular bar and restaurant frequented by locals by eating and having a beer. The cabin and parking was just a few steps away, so I didn't have to drive anymore. If you come from San José to Puerto Jiménez you most likely will arrive tired and the first place you'll see on the right hand side before entering the town is Iguana Iguana.
I received a very warm welcome at the bar and was handed the keys for my room. After getting there I was asleep in five minutes, and slept till late next morning. If you are late, tired and want to rest as fast as possible when you finally reach Puerto Jiménez, Iguana Iguana is your best budget option.
