The vineyard makes Luz de Mono a place like no other in the world. After years of work, the Playa Grande Vineyard has been able to produce both a red and white wine known as "Monkey Shine".

Luz de Mono features some of Costa Rica's most interesting artists and musicians. Luz de Mono organizes regular exhibits of local artists, and concerts. Guests enjoy a sense of creativity and sophistication. The hotel is host to a yearly gathering of artists - a festival known as "Chunches de Mar," as well as a Music festival of local musicians.
